Urgent Coronavirus update - PM's 'lockdown' announcement

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement last night (Monday 23 March) putting the UK in ‘lockdown’, we have taken the decision to ask all our staff to stay at home today, until we determine who in PCH is classed as a key worker and the level of emergency services we are able to provide.

The Prime Minister gave clear advice with new rules in force now: you must stay at home apart from essential travel and except for very limited purposes.

We are, of course, taking this advice seriously and have made decisions that enable us to follow Government guidance so we do our bit to limit the spread of the virus whilst continuing to provide services to you, our customers.

This will clearly limit the level of services that are available during this difficult period.

Viewings for new homes
We will not be providing viewings for our shared ownership homes in the normal way. We will be videoing all of our homes to enable you to look around the property from the safety of your own home. These videos can be accessed through our SO Living website so please check back over the coming days to view them.

Sales Completions
  • If you’re in the process of completing on the sale of a property, we will continue to work with you and our solicitors to ensure the sale continues.
  • If you have a completion due in the next three weeks, while we have been all advised to Stay at Home, we will take the Government guidance and will be in contact with you shortly to discuss the options available.

Contacting us
We are still available for you to contact us, you can do this through email at so-living@plymouthcommunityhomes.co.uk or by telephone 0800 0778 748 or through SO Living Facebook page.

We’ve taken this decision so that we keep our staff and you, safe and help our NHS by following the Government’s instructions to stop the spread of the virus.

Please be assured that we will continue to do whatever we can to support our customers.

Thank you for your support in these unprecedented times.
