As the weather changes, why not give your interior a spring refresh.

Decorating your home doesn’t have to break the bank and we’ve put together a list of ways to spruce on a budget.

Spice up your rooms and furniture with some paint

Adding colour to your walls and up-cycling furniture by re-painting can be a cheap way to give your interior a new lease of life, picking autumnal colours such as oranges, browns and beige can be on trend and keep in theme with the season.

Re-evaluate what you have

Rethinking the layout of your room is free and can encourage you to get rid of furniture that can be tired or outdated. If you do decide to get rid of any furniture, why not drop the items off at a charity shop or sell them on a second-hand site like eBay.

Refresh your cushions and throws

Changing up your cushions and throws can refresh your sofa without having to pay for a new one. Trendy and affordable cushions can be found at Asda, B&M and The Range.

Add some greenery

Plants bring the outside in and add colour to your inside spaces. Garden centres are the perfect places to find a house plant or if you don’t fancy the commitment of a real plant, there are fantastic faux plants for sale which look realistic.

Upgrade your handles

An inexpensive way to give your living space a refresh is to change up the handles on furniture like cupboards, units, and wardrobes. New handles can be purchased from home stores and can add a breath of fresh air to old pieces of furniture.

If you are still within your 12-month defect period, it is important that you wait until after this has elapsed before decorating.
